Dr. Miner's Journey
A native New Englander, Dr. Miner brings her extensive surgical training and passion for evidence-based patient care to the southeast. In high school, she began her career in science and medicine as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Frederick, MD. She attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she was a collegiate swimmer and pursued a dual degree in Biological Sciences and Philosophy. She then returned to the NIH in Bethesda, MD, where she performed bench-top research on mesenchymal stem cells.
She took her career from bench-top to bedside by pursuing her medical degree at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and graduated in the top of her medical school class. She then began her surgical training at the prestigious Mount Auburn Hospital, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, where she completed her residency.
A true master of her craft, she chose to complete a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. She has extensive training in advanced foot and ankle techniques, including total ankle replacement, management of osteochondral lesions, arthroscopy, flatfoot reconstruction, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Miner regularly lectures nationally to the surgical community and has received multiple awards for research. She is published on a variety of topics in foot and ankle surgery, but her primary research focuses are ankle arthritis and sports medicine.
As the daughter of a type I diabetic, she is uniquely empathetic to patients who suffer from complications of the diabetic foot. However, she is equally dedicated to improving the quality of life of all her patients, whether that is with the latest surgical advancements or through conservative measures.
Outside of her time as your foot and ankle surgeon, she enjoys training for open water swims, traveling, finding new favorite restaurants, and relaxing at the pool or beach with her husband.
